About Us
Since 2002 Swan Missions has become an integral part of Swan Christian College conducting over 10 Impact trips to Thailand, Cambodia and Zambia. Over 150 Students have had the opportunity to witness poverty firsthand and work alongside agencies seeking to empower the people towards sustainable and healthy lives. In recent years Swan Missions has developed a partnership with Immanuel Mercy and Reachout Ministries in Zambia to run an education and feeding program at Kantolomba Village. We have also partnered with Global Development Group allowing sponsors of our projects to gain tax deductibility.
Swan Missions seeks to follow the example set before us from our Lord Jesus Christ who brought healing and hope to those suffering injustice. In Micah 6:8 we are told to “act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God”. Our hope is that we might fulfil this calling through being a channel of God’s blessing to those in need.
It has been encouraging to see the College, and even those beyond the College community, embracing the mission cause through supporting our fundraising endeavours or attending our impact trips to make a real difference in the lives of those less fortunate. Each student in our college has an opportunity to be involved in our child sponsorship program through their Pastoral Care classes. Many students and parents also participate in our fundraising events even though they themselves may never personally visit these projects.
We look forward to a positive future for Swan Missions as we continue to developing our relationship with organizations in Cambodia and Zambia; our future Impact Trips and the impact that will be made on the lives of hundreds of children who can now look towards a brighter future.
